Gamification is the process of taking something that already exists – a website, an enterprise application, an online community – and integrating game mechanics into it to motivate participation, engagement, and loyalty. But gamification is not about creating something new. It is about amplifying the effect of an existing, core experience by applying the motivational techniques that make games so engaging.
Games, in any form, increase motivation through engagement. Nowhere else is this more important than education.
There are a variety of ways to introduce your classroom to the gamification of education and I am providing you with just a few ideas:
- GAMIFICATION IN GRADING
- AWARD STUDENTS WITH BADGES
- INTEGRATE EDUCATIONAL VIDEO GAMES IN YOUR CURRICULUM
- STIR UP A LITTLE COMPETITION
- CREATE A DIGITAL, CUSTOMIZABLE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

Hello Aida,
ResponderEliminarThanks for your blog, it's very creative, the gamification activity is not very usual and I think children appreciate this kind of things, and we will feel as a good challenge; the rest of the activities on it are very interesting too, follow the same line and children will learn and enjoy at the same time, also i think you don't have any problems to go into the activities and work on them, congratulations for your fantastic job! I can get a lot of ideas to work in class.
