This activitiy is intended to practice writing skills and imagination, as well as to manage Word documents.

STEPS:

You are given the beginning of a story, what you have to do is to complete the story in no less than fifty words.
Write the story in a word document, besides, you must look for some photograps on the internet to illustrate the story.

The magic book

Once upon a time, there was a little girl whose father worked in a library. She spent a lot of time playing in the library, reading books and dreaming about distant beautiful places to visit when she grew up.
One day, she found a very old book hidden on a shelf that awoke her curiosity, she picked it up and as soon as she opened it something magical happened.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................

  1. Hello Aida,

First of all, I just want to say that I love your blog! The design is great and in general it's easy to navigate, attractive and dynamic. Specifically, I love the idea of this post. I notice that one of the most difficult activities for most children in my classrooms is creative writing (even in Spanish!). Possibly due to the focus that many teachers put on "correct answers," many students have trouble thinking outside of the box because they are scared to make mistakes.

By setting up the story for them, you are piquing their interest in the activity and giving them a solid base to work from. Also, this activity is great to not only to practice writing and use of ICT (by incorporating images as you mentioned) but can also be used to practice speaking by having the children read their finished stories to the class.

    Great job Aida!!!
